WELCOME!

 

The Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) is open to all adults 18 years and over. There is no fee to undergo the program.

 

Learners can follow their training in the official language of their choice. Classes are located within the community, improving access for those who have little or no means of transportation.

 

HOW DO I  JOIN THE PROGRAM?

 

​To join the adult learning program, you need to contact your case manager or employment counsellor, who will then refer you to Chaleur Adult Learning. If you are not currently receiving uneployment insurance or social assistance (for example you currently have a job), you can contact the director of operations directly to enroll in the program.

 

The waiting time before a learner can start class varies from a few days to a few months, with an average of 4 weeks. Availability of places in class depends on many factors, including possibility of transportation, town of residence and any special conditions specific to each learner's case. We will reach you when we have a spot available for you.
