HOW IT WORKS
Chaleur Adult Learning has a partnership with the unemployment insurance and social development programs to improve access to financial aid. This way, learners are guaranteed a certain level of income for the duration of their literacy training.
A case manager or employment counsellor is responsible for each case and communicates with us regularly to ensure proper follow-up.
Those currently in the workforce can also continue working and attend literacy class on a part-time basis. For francophones, an evening class is available in Petit-Rocher to accommodate learners who have a full-time day job.
The goal of financing is to give everyone who wants to finish their GED an opportunity to do so, no matter what their financial situation is.
